1. Over-production of the sebaceous glands, so called Seborrhea. Due to the influence of the male hormones (androgens) there is an enlargement / stimulation of the sebaceous glands during puberty, which leads to an increased production of skin fats by the sebaceous glands.

2. Cornification disorder of the sebaceous gland, so called Hyperkeratosis. With this disruptive function of the sebaceous gland, the sebum cannot come out normally to the surface of the skin, but is prevented by the blockage of the sebaceous glands by the hormonally induced accelerated growth of the horny cells in the duct at the outflow. Due to the increased formation of horn material, a plug is created, which drains the sebaceous gland secretions hinders and thus eventually forming an open or closed blackhead (Comedo). 

3.
